Leanne Shirtliffe answers her fan mail!

You guys! I was so excited to be able to interview Leanne Shirtliffe!

Super excited. You can tell when I laugh my maniacal crazy laugh, which I edited out whenever possible, and the fact that I kept shouting at her. That’s nervous crazy laugh and excited loud talking you’ll be hearing.

Leanne, if you let me interview you for your next book, I almost promise not to be so much like myself.

Anyway, I kept poor Leanne talking for so long, ya’ll, and she was so sweet about not just hanging up on me. She’s cool like that, you know. But since the interview ran longer than I expected, I chopped off this little bit as a kind of teaser.

Here are the questions Leanne’s super fans sent in for me to ask her:

Listen to the full interview on Thursday! Leanne talks about her new book Don’t Lick The Minivan, her writing process, depression, parenting twins and her upcoming project. I crazy laugh and shout all my questions.

Also!! Renee is giving away a copy of Leanne’s book. Definitely hop over to her site to read her review and find out how you can enter the drawing!

PS: Sorry Stacey for mangling your last name by sounding out every. single. syllable. What can I say? I ain’t right.

Thanks to:

  1. Michelle! Your video says its private. You might need to adjust some setting in YouTube. Or something. Can’t wait to see this!

  2. 1. Like Ricky, I love the index. I actually tried to look for the word “turd” in there.
    2. P.S.: Vivian is TOTALLY a celebrity.
    3. William wants everyone to know his penis is huge.

    I love the interview! 😉

    • Haha – I looked for something I couldn’t find, too, but now I can’t remember what it was. Something unsavory for sure though, lol.

Thursday’s is longer, but Leanne is really great at being interviewed. It goes by pretty quick! I hope you come back for that one 🙂

      • We should have linked up to each other! Do you think it is too late?

        May 21, 2013
        • Not at all! But I’ll also link to yours on the Thursday one since it hasn’t posted to people’s email yet. (I just got back from the dentist and hadn’t pulled yours up yet.) The Thursday one for me is my main event, and that still gives them a few days to get in the drawing.

  3. Now that Barbara Walters is retiring you can have her job!

    May 21, 2013
    • Hey! I had my eye on that job since I was a kid 🙂

      True story.

I can’t wait to read this book. It may give me the courage to write about the wild things you and Rebecca did as children. I could add in Lo and Pey, as well. I really like the podcast.

    • On Renee’s blog (she’s doing a give-away), I told about the time I Vaseline’d Becca for you. You know, to help.

And the time Joey and I spread baby powder all over the bedroom. Ah, good times.

I can’t wait until the rest of the podcast!

  6. Great job Michelle! Fantastic way to profile Leanne. Would love to post this clip on my blog when when I put my post up about DLM. Would that work for you?

    May 21, 2013
    • Of course! I’d love that. You should be able to get it right off of YouTube 🙂 (if you meant put it right in the post) It was a fun way to highlight multiple people and spotlight Leanne answering questions at the same time!

I guess you forgot the time you tied Rebecca to the swing set so you could go play with Rhonda across the street???

    May 24, 2013
    • I did forget that. Now I feel like I should go back over there and ‘fess up. And also, I was protecting my baby sister. With a leash. So she wouldn’t escape and get hurt.

Damn, I was a smart kid, don’t you think? She had a longish lead and everything.

      May 24, 2013
    • Also, I mentioned you and Becca in the longer interview.
