Does Not Compute
My laptop has just self-destructed.
It’s died, I tell you!
Dead, I say!

Oh no. Dislike!
Dislike very much! I can only do so much blogging from my phone 😦
Le Sad….
I know… My dad is loaning me his old one while I get mine looked at, so I’m grateful for that!
Booooooooo. Don’t go to a grocery store. You’re upset – bad things will happen. What kind of death did it die? Maybe it can still be resuscitated.
I backed up my stuff, cause it was kind of sick for this last month or so. It was freezing up after I hibernated it. Then the disc drive disappeared. Now it’s just a blue screen. I didn’t go to the grocery store, but I did immediately start looking around at laptop prices. Bad!
Also, I thought of you right away! I was thinking,”This ain’t no glass of water incident; I don’t think this baby is coming back.” I still tried just letting it sit awhile, but that didn’t work, lol.
WAAAaaaHHH!
My ex’s was hit by malware. Is that what got your’s? He took it to an IT guy who was able to resuscitate.
I’m not sure, but since I’ll have a loaner, I’m going to have out checked out. It was acting funny for the last month. It was a slow death.
Noooooooooooo! And stay away from Target. That’s even worse than going to the grocery store. Sounds like it’s time to pay a little visit to the Geek Squad.
Yeah, that place will get me every time. I think thesinglecell did a post about Target, too. I’m gonna take it to Best Buy or something to see if they can save it.
I had a laptop just die. The techno guy couldn’t even find the hard drive. It disappeared. Then I got this laptop and a month later got hit with a major “new” virus. But the techno guy, Fred,–we have become friends–was able to take care of it.
Not having a computer is like not having a body part.
It’s good to have friends!
When I told my dad my computer died, he asked, “Do you even need a computer?” Yeah! I do if I want to blog, or do pictures or video, or any kind of word processing. My budget is on an excel spreadsheet. Any work I bring home with me is in Excel. I want my computer back! So glad I backed up my work.
I am having the big yard sale in the morning, and planned to use any money I make to get the air fixed in my car. When my computer died, I figured I had to chose – air or laptop. So I guess I’ll be hot the rest of the summer.
Maybe you will be able to do both. July and August are good months for computer sales.
Phone?! Oh Yeah. I thought you’d done this post on an Etch-A-Sketch. The tech guy at Staples told me he can fix almost anything, but sadly, the hourly charge to do it is more than just buying a new unit.
It felt about Etch-A-Sketch level! I couldn’t so much as center a line on the page.
I was just going to buy a new one, because I thought the exact same thing about repair costs. Plus, it can cost money just to diagnose, to find out it’s beyond repair. I’m only taking it in since I can get a long term loner.
Oh no! 😦 Thank goodness you backed up your stuff. Hope you get it fixed soon.
Thank you! I’m on my dad’s computer now, and everything feels really weird. A lot of the keys are not where they’re “supposed” to be, haha.
That is sad news. I hope you can find a new one at a good price.
I’m fortunate to be able to borrow one indefinitely, but I sure do miss my own laptop! It’s like visiting compared to being at home.
Uh-oh…is it fixable? Are you going to get a new one soon?
I’ll get it looked at and see what they say…if it’s repairable (within reason), I’ll get it fixed. I miss my own computer!
Yipes! Sounds like NOT a fun thing to deal with. Good Luck!
Thank you! It’s so funny to me that this tiny little post I did on my phone is getting so many comments! I think all my fellow bloggers can totally relate to how I felt when that blank screen came up.
🙂
