The Super, Multi-Talented Knox McCoy

moving the podcast – interview from June 26, 2013

~~~
Knox McCoy is a man of varied interests! We talked about writing and publishing and podcasting and video production…oh, and horses with swords on their foreheads. That are not unicorns. Because unicorns are evil.
And also, I just liked listening to his voice because I totally crush on it. Isn’t it lovely? *sigh*
I’m sorry, what were we talking about?
Food Issues, with Vicki Manuel
moving the podcast – interview from June 19, 2013
~~~

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I asked my friend Vicki to be my health coach. And even now, having gone through the sessions, it’s hard for me to explain what she does. It’s a very personalized and individual process, and I imagine no two experiences are quite the same.

For me, it was coaching my thoughts more than my behaviors. Vicki helped me change my perspective, giving me a clear picture of the positives in myself and the steps I am taking.

We talk about that changed mind-set in this interview; actually, I think I mentioned it about three different times. It really is amazing to me what a great thing a little positive thinking can be.

Star Trek Into Darkness with JR. Forasteros

moving the podcast – from June 5, 2013

~~~
I have adored JR. Forasteros practically from the first Storymen video. His laugh is contagious, his enthusiasm is infectious, and wow, I just made him sound like a virus.
But JR. truly is a story man, and that’s something we have in common. Except for the man part. Anyway, we both love stories and characters and really great movies. Like Star Trek Into Darkness!
I was thrilled when JR. agreed to come on the podcast, and it was pure joy to talk about something I love with someone who loves it too. (Bonus points if you can guess how many times we say “right!” to each other.)
JR Title
0:00 ~ Storyman (and trekkie) JR. Forasteros
6:20 ~ reviewing the reboot
12:05 ~ Khaaaannn!
15:35 ~ growing up vs growing old (a Wrath of Khan comparison)
20:25 ~ a non-trekkie viewpoint
22:50 ~ relationships & character stuff
27:25 ~ bras and panties
30:10 ~ boldly going where they’ve never been before?
Magic Man Ricky Anderson
moving the podcast – interview from May 29, 2013
~~~

I loved this chat. I was so unprepared, my first question was “Ricky is nice”. But the magical Ricky kept the conversation flowing! We talked about fatherhood, being a blogger vs a writer, his work-in-progress and our fear of failure. And then he did a magic trick.

I’m still trying to figure it out.
