Things I Love For No Good Reason
Although joy is as good a reason as any.
So I guess what I really mean is things I don’t know why they bring me such joy.
- Wind chimes. Not all wind chimes, just certain wind chimes. But if I find a wind chime with just the right sound, it makes me so happy.
- Cactus plants. I really just like them. A lot. I always want to buy any cactus plant I see. Except the ones with fake flowers glued to them. Or really, I want to buy them too, and take them home and tear off that fake flower.
- Plants in general. Green plants. Any kind of ivy especially makes me happy.
- Notebooks. Pads of paper. Any kind of paper bound together.
- Blue Ink Pens.
- Desk organizers. Pencil cups and phone stands and in-boxes and all those kinds of things.
- Books. Although I know why books make me happy.
- Blankets. I loooove blankets.
- Scarves. And gloves. That I never remember to wear.
These are things that if I see them I want them. I just have an instant desire to have them and keep them.
And even though I don’t buy them, just seeing them makes me happy.
What makes you happy? (Whether or not you know why.)

O Joy, O Boots,
– I like blue pens too.
– lately I’ve been keeping out a shot glass half filled with toothpick for snacks on my coffee table and whenever an event approachesnbI look at them I think about bourbon chicken, sliced coconut fudge, garlic stuffed olives, and juice manadarin oranges.
-Back aways I was struggling to locate reading glasses so i bought a few racks at Costco. The selection are cool. And there are stacksb in stratigic sites…on my TV. For example.
-I’m back in love with woman who were boots,,,when are you getting yours ? Can we say by the fall…I can come for visit and fall mildly in love with you again.

Ridicu slipped out a bit last night. His spelling is horrible as he forgets to wear (not were) our reading glasses…even though we both like having bunches around.
Yes to all the things. There’s just something about paper, I agree.
We agree on lots of things that just bring sheer joy! Books, lots of books! Paper–not just any pads though, i like really good quality loose paper with a good feel to it–for writing real letters. Good pens, especially felt tip–blue is nice, but also purple and green. Love seeing birds in nature, all dogs, and seeing plants in bloom. I also think cacti are cool–just wrote about the Saguaro Cactus in AZ. Gratitude and appreciation just make like so much better. Oh yeah, one more like I really like: your blog! Happy almost spring.
😀 Unicorns, butterflies, sheep (living or not), flutes, hummingbirds, jelly beans, stars, cookies, tiny cupcakes (although for eating I like big ones), ribbons, and I’ll second your bound together paper, and blankets. Thanks!
