Two, Two years of blogging ah ah ah
Today marks my two year blog anniversary.
I was just telling somebody yesterday that blogging has changed my life.
It hasn’t changed who I am.
But it has changed what I think about who I am, and what I’m doing with who I am.

Blogging has changed what I think about who I can be.
I am living in the same house and driving the same car to the same job.
And yet my life is on a different trajectory than it was before.
The little circle that was my life two years ago is now the circumference of the world.
And the goals that I’ve set and the steps that I’ve taken to grow myself are a direct result of what has been happening in this space.
That’s a pretty cool thing.

So I want to take a moment and say thank you.
Thank you so much for being here with me, for visiting me and chatting with me, for encouraging and supporting me.
To those of you who blog, thank you for all you put out there for the world to see.
Thank you for sharing of yourselves.
I started the Infinite Monkey posts because what you say matters.
Because it makes us think, feel, laugh and understand.
That’s a truly great thing.

Mark! You know I love the sweet talk, haha. Actually, I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you are doing. Glad to know you’re still hanging out with me 🙂 How are things at your end of the east coast?
The unbearable heat has been building down here. Cooling measures have alleviated some of the DSB……I have begun writing again. There will be another post soon, but a trip entry – the next opinion / idea piece is still swirling.
I would expect with your swing into spring that some fresh footwear shopping will be happening…..if you need a second opinion on anything, let me know 🙂
Well I’m glad your blockage is starting to clear 😉 And when I’m ready to make that shopping trip, you’ll be the first one I ask for advice!

Btw, how did you come up with the name ‘Infinite Monkey’?

I got the idea to share blogger quotes because of something yearstricken had written that was so good I wanted to share it. I was trying to think of a name for the posts when she wrote about the Infinite Monkey Theorem – I thought “that’s it!” The theorem says that “a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare.” We write lots and lots of stuff and sometimes we hit on something really, really great. And sometimes it’s just a random thing we say, but it speaks to someone else in a profound way. Oh yeah, I know about the Infinite Monkey theorem! Except that I’ve never heard of that name being used earlier.
