Movie Quote Christmas Day – A Charlie Brown Christmas
What new can I say about A Charlie Brown Christmas? It’s such a sweet and touching special, and I don’t know anyone who hasn’t seen it or doesn’t love it.
And it’s a gentle reminder of why we celebrate Christmas.
Charlie Brown: Isn’t there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?
Linus: Sure, Charlie Brown. I can tell you what Christmas is all about.
…
Linus: And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them, and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a savior, which is Christ the Lord.”
Merry Christmas!

A Charlie Brown Christmas is hands-down, my favorite. They would never get it on the air today if it were new. One of my favorite finds this season was the Charlie Brown Christmas interactive iPad app. I wept. Merry Christmas!
It’s my favorite, too! You’re making me wish I had an IPad!
I love it as well. Hope you had a great Christmas and got to spend time with your family. My nest is empty once again, but it was a great week and a half while the kids were home.
I’m glad you had such a long time (relatively speaking) to spend with your kids! My Christmas was pretty quiet, but good 🙂
It’s the 29th…and your post just caused tears. So nostalgic! Our story.
It’s a good reminder of what we are celebrating! I’m glad it touched you.
watch it every year! Love it!!
Hi Margaret! Me too – it’s my favorite animated special.
For me – it is the original Miracle on 34th Street and It’s a Wonderful life. More recent favorite is The Christmas Story and old old favorite Scrooge. Can’t beat them and love them all for many different reasons. Not so big on Charlie Brown.
This Christmas was so different and somewhat sad for me but, then to be so happy anyway. No decorations at my house, not even a wreath on the door. BUT the best part was when you came and wrapped (really bagged up) all the gifts for me (sometimes being sick can be a good thing) and going to Becca and Steve’s to see the little ones open their gifts and eat Becca’s pot pies and empanadas (not to mention the sweets). Then Sad again because I didn’t see Logan at all. But happy to see you and enjoy our ride down to the river. Good to see Becca happy and Steve keeping everyone level. What a blessing this past few years have been. The gift of Amanda then Becca and Steve, then Baby Allison – How good it is!!! How did we manage to live without those blessings? We had no idea what was missing in our life. I couldn’t imagine a more wonderful life when it was just you, Becca, Logan and Peyton. Now look how much more enriched our lives have become with the addition of Amanda, Steve and Allison.
About 90% of my holidays are like that – kind of nice and kind of sad.
