Random Thoughts – on cat shaming

Every now and then, my cat will suddenly swivel her head around and look at me with an expression like, “How dare you?”

And I’m like, “Wha’d I do?! What? WHAT?”

But all I get is the cat glare. Icy. And not a little condescending. “You. Should be. Ashamed.”

And then she slowly turns away. Because she’s thouroughly disgusted, and that’s all she’s going to say on the matter.

Have you ever been cat shamed?

    • Haha, that’s funny! And it’s like he knows what you’re up to.

      • Pretty sure he does. Almost like a “so those photos… Can I see them first for approval?!?”

  2. I think sometimes Teddy is embarrassed by me…or for me…I don’t which maybe both. He gets over it when his dish is empty

    • Haha, they know what’s really important. It’s funny though, how we give meaning to and put thoughts behind their expressions. I wish I could read my pet’s minds sometimes. But sometimes I’m glad I can’t.

      • I agree. I might be quite surprised if i knew what Teddy was thinking. Probably just paying no attention to me at all.

  3. Yes! Also shredded, which is why I am now firmly in the dog camp. I am, however, reading “The Art of Purring” which you might enjoy.

  4. Hahahahha! Such a funny description! I have seen such GIFs online, but since I don’t own a cat, haven’t been cat-shamed personally. Take a photo the next time?

    • It’s always so random! I’ve tried to get a photo, but I’m always too late. 😦
