Yesterday Was Simply Wonderful

True story.
My first photography class was in the morning.
And we learned about the exact thing that I most wanted to learn about. And then I practiced it all day long.
I got my hair cut.
Every single one of them, actually.
I had it all chopped off. It’s pretty drastic, but I wanted short hair, so I did it. I can’t believe how a thing as simple as your hair style can make you feel so different! Maybe it’s just that I feel brave and bold for doing something that I knew could be completely and utterly disastrous.
It’s shocking, but not a disaster. I like it.
I spent the rest of the day at my sister’s new house.
It’s lovely. The house backs to a lake, and we spent lots of time outdoors in breezy, beautiful weather. There were ducks and geese, and they fed me dinner (my sister and brother-in-law fed me, not the geese). And did I mention there was water? It was peaceful and pretty, and I do so love spending time with my family.
I finished up my Treasure Island book on audio on the way home, where I arrived relaxed and happy and content and all things satisfied and good.
Pictures!
I’m gonna try out WordPress’ slideshow feature:

Those are some fantastic pictures, the class is paying off already. Nice work!
That’s sweet! 😉
Now I can’t stop taking pictures; you guys will be sick if it soon!
Great photos!
Thank you, yearstricken!
Wow- I’m really impressed by the plant photos…maybe I should cut my hair??? Or I could take a class….Really loved these photos. Awww, your nieces are sooo cute!
Thank you, it would feel great in the summer weather, you should! I think I got it all 🙂
I’m glad you liked them, because I’ll be posting more today! Also, I think they’re cute, too! They grow on me more and more.
Ohhh, Allison is ADORABLE!
And I love that photo with the blue flowers. 🙂
I took so many pictures of that blue flower! I really thought it was pretty, too – but so little in real life. And thank you, I think she’s cute, too.
You just can’t keep a kid out of water. Can you believe it, naked outdoors in March! Your sister is lucky to have you to take such great photos of her children.
That kid loves to be naked no matter what time of year it is! And you’re right about the water – she calls it Swan Lake 🙂 We all love the water, really. But I’m not swimming in Swan Lake. *shudder*
Wow, your photos are fantastic!
It’s a numbers game really; I took over 800 photos on Tuesday, and believe me, many (many, many) did not turn out as well as I’d have liked.
And also thank you!
I don’t know how I missed this post! Great pictures–the girls are soooo cute.
I can’t take any credit for those kids, but I think they’re cute, too!
