Week in Review – Visiting

Sunday
Louis and I spent the last two nights at my parents,

staying over for the first time since last winter.
They have said several times how wonderful it is
to have Louis here and how much they’ve missed him.
Yes, I said Louis.  My dog.

Monday
I went house shopping today.
It took up four hours of my day,
and I only saw two houses.
I don’t think I’m cut out for this.

Tuesday
I got nothin’.

How was your Tuesday?

Wednesday
As it turns out,

when you don’t get enough sleep,
it makes you really tired the next day.

Thursday
I finally came home tonight
after spending six days at my parent’s house.
If you don’t want to get kicked out,
Best Practice is
to keep it under a week.

Friday
I was freezing at the office yesterday,

so I wore a sweater to work today.
Sweater Weather!!
(I’m doing a sweater-weather dance right now.)

(I look pretty ridiculous.)

Saturday
Such a beautiful day!
The sun was shining,
the air was cool and crisp,
the leaves were golden and scarlet…
I was at work where I couldn’t enjoy any of it.
But the drive home was nice :).

Which doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy Michelle’s visit as much as we did Louis; its just thal, well Louis is our Granddoggy and like Grandchildren… We get to feed him his treats, let him sleep in our bed ( he doen’t take all the covers or kick out in his sleep). He likes to sit in our laps and follows us when we walk from room to room, but he doesn’t ask a lot of questions.

When we talk to him, he pretends that what we say is interesting and doesn’t remind us that we already told him that story (several times). Not that Michelle does that.

    • Much. But I do pretend what you say is interesting, you wouldn’t want my big butt on your lap, and I only follow you from room to room if I want something. So, fair enough.

  2. I don’t remember Tuesday so can’t comment…but I do love sweater weather.

    • I guess Tuesday was kind of a dud. I wrote that Tuesday night, and I couldn’t remember Tuesday.

  3. Think I’ve caught a cold from the sweater-weather swings…coughcough. poor poor pitiful me. Isn’t there a song lyric like that? Happy house hunting. That can be tough.

    • That is a song lyric, and a catchy one, too (haha, no pun intended). I’m sorry you’ve caught a cold, and I really hope it passes quick. My boss and I both still have a cough that has just lingered on since September. It’s just a little cough now and then, but it simply won’t go away. Poor, poor pitiful me :).

I’m looking at houses again tomorrow. I can’t afford much, so it’s that much harder to find something decent. I’m going to have those lyrics tattooed somewhere on my body, haha!

That’s from a Linda Ronstadt song from back in the eighties ( I think the eighties). Someone else sang it also, but her’s was the more popular version…. I’m going to have to goggle her. I loved her voice, wonder what happened. Her version of Blue Bayou was great, but it is hard to beat Roy Orbison’s version. I know this is off track from the original comment, but just had to add my little bit of wisdom.

    • I liked that song, and her too – thanks, because I couldn’t remember who sung that. I had someone like Don Williams in mind – I just listened to hers and it was faster than I remembered. So, I still have Don Williams in my head.

Roy Orbison is great, but I actually like her Blue Bayou version better. No hate mail, please.
