What a great day looks like…
Yesterday, I got to spend the day with my fabulous sister and her two girls.
First we took a walk downtown. Amanda was uncharacteristically untalkative. Her mother and I were characteristically quite talkative (so that worked out just fine).

Amanda splashes her face almost every time she comes up out of the water. I'm wondering where she got this from?
Maybe she just likes making a splash in general.
The afternoon ended as it should…with ice cream!

Thanks, it was a fun day! Just spending some time with my family was nice. And the simple pleasure of that little trip to get ice cream, just me and my niece, that is a memory.
It was a wonderful day. Sadly, I enjoyed your trip to get ice cream a bit too much. She was super quiet that day. Even better when she was gone the house was so peaceful.
You’re so bad! Just kidding…everyone needs a break sometimes. I’m always a little sad and a little releaved when I turn one of the kids back in. Even the big ones.
