A Year In Narnia – No. 10

Listen:

Narnia 10

Is it okay to stare at nearly naked people?

Or should I make every effort to avert my eyes?

I mean really, don’t they dress that way on purpose? I’m talking about people – okay, it’s mostly women – who wear clothing that leaves their ta-tas and their hoo-haas hanging out for the world to see.

So, the thing is, this woman came in to the store yesterday and her shirt was super low-cut.

This was not a tiny woman.

And the shirt was just a wee bit tight, so there was that. You know, boob muffin top.

One boob was just way – way – exposed and the other was apparently hanging on to her shirt by the nipple for dear life – I mean we’re way close to indecent exposure here.

And both of those breasteses were tattooed.

Tattooed.

That’s not something you do on accident. These are not accidentally tattooed and exposed boobs we’re talking about.

And I’m trying not to stare.

Cause that’s rude. And kinda icky.

So hard I’m trying.

But it’s WEIRD! It’s like they’re everywhere. The boobs are everywhere!

And I’m afraid my eyes are going to lock on and I’ll get boob hypnotized and I’ll fall in or something.

Look away, Michelle! Look away!

.

I got through it. I looked away.

Mostly.

.

But I’ve got a little post-traumatic shock.

.

And I really want to know –

If someone leaves the house with their bits and pieces hanging out, aren’t they basically saying, “Hey everybody – look what I got!”

Maybe it was more rude of me to look away. Hmm…

Michelle and Louis of the Zombie Apocalypse

You guys, the talented Amy Severson has written me into one of her awesome zombie stories! I met Amy on her blog back in 2011 when she was writing short stories every month to go along with her cut and fold zombie calendar. Way back then I dreamed of being in one of those stories, even if I got eaten. In 2012, Amy switched to a Robot-a-Month calendar and her writing just got better and better.

2013 brought a return of the zombies, in the form of a new Zombie-a-Month Calendar. Amy’s readers were thrilled – and I took the opportunity to ask if I could be in a story. All I wanted for my story was to be wearing kick-ass boots. I mean, not only wearing the boots, but that’s the only thing I asked for.

And Amy said yes! I was so excited. And now the story has been posted! Squeeeee….

Amy even put Louis in the action. I told him about it and he was very excited, too.

If you’d like to read “my” zombie story, here it is: deceased and desist.

Thank you Amy!!!

the Infinite Monkey speaks: on risk

Random brilliance from across the blogosphere…

Sometimes there is no easy way, and the only possible road to success is to let go of what you know and what you are comfortable with and put it all on the line.  In doing so, failure is a definite possibility.  But if we don’t even try, then failure is inevitable.
