the Infinite Monkey speaks: the right message

Random brilliance from across the blogosphere…

I cried because for the first time in my life, I wanted gay people to know Jesus loved them more than I wanted them to know my theological position.

  1. GREAT post that you link back to, Michelle, and a great quote. Interestingly, before I read your post I had just finished watching the movie “Philadelphia.” As I was bawling like a baby at the end (like I did the first time I saw it) I thought to myself, “Everyone has the right to be loved.” And if Jesus loves everyone, why is it so hard for us to love each other?

    • Yes, why?? We are so wrapped up in what we think is right and wrong, in judgement and wanting to make people be like us or believe like us, or whatever. We don’t stop and just love them. And that’s Christians and non-Christians alike. But especially as Christians, it’s so sad when they would by-pass their religion’s one main big rule in their zeal to judge someone else.
