  1. This can be us. The small things we do – a few kinds words, a friendly smile, holding someone’s hand, looking them in the eye – these can be the soft steps that rock someone else’s world.

I have always believed that the small things matter the most. The meals you eat together, the time you spend caring or nurturing for someone, time spent playing or coloring with a child and ofcourse the wink for no apparent reason. These are the things that let people know that they are important to you. I believe subtle kindness goes a long way and is good for the soul.

    • Yes, we don’t give enough credit to those little moments. There are times when I’m feeling down or worried or stressed, and just a little happiness from a stranger can lift me up immensely. Most often we don’t know when we are bolstering someone up for the next challenge they have to face, or lifting them up from the dregs of a bad day.

And you’re right, it’s not just good for them, it’s tremendously important for our own sake.
