Week in Review – Food Focused
Sunday
I turned my alarm off and fell back to sleep this morning,
but I didn’t have to be at work until 1:30, so that was okay.
Except, it really is a dilemma for me:
I truly love to sleep late, but when I do,
it cuts into my sit around and do nothing time.
Monday
I took my car in to get fixed,
and I got to see my cousin who works there.
So that was a nice treat.
Tuesday
It was a long day at work.
For whatever unknown reason, I was in a super mood when I got there,
but irritations with the photo machine quickly wiped that out.
I shouldn’t let that happen!
The good mood wiping, not the photo machine breaking.
No one has any control over that photo machine.
Wednesday
I took my lunch out of the fridge and bagged it for work, but then
I got distracted by something else before I could reach back in for the drink.
About 10 minutes later, I turned around and saw
that I had left the refrigerator door hanging wide open.
And it was a genuine surprise.
Thursday
I started a new diet today, although I think it’s more of a lifestyle thing than diet.
I’m a “guinea pig” for my friend who’s taking classes to be a health coach.
The first step is to keep track of (write down so I can really see!) everything I eat.
Can I just stay fat?
Friday
I swear this isn’t what I normally eat.
Really.
Saturday
I have two days off!
I love having two days off in a row!
Today is cooking for the week and laundry;
tomorrow, who knows?
.
Nothing makes me grouchier than losing “my sit around and do nothing time.” I love that. Thank you.
I know, right? The worst part of it is, I really did feel that way.
I know what you mean about sleeping in late. I love it as well, but something else always pays the price, making me more stressed than if I had just gotten up at the regular time and kept to the regular schedule. And when I say “sleep in late,” I really mean staying in bed a little later reading a good book.
Haha, when I say “sleep in late” I mean sleep!! But you’re right about messing up other plans, or having to take corners elsewhere. I always regret sleeping that extra 5 or 10 minutes when I have to go to work early.
Technically, my “sitting around time” is catching up on the blogs I read, or catching up mine.
I really enjoy getting to follow along with you in your week. Of course, that means getting myself up….
Haha, me too – I was just saying, that’s what I use that sit-around time for! Generally, if I work late, I want as much time before work as I can get to fiddle around with this or that…
I have the same love/hate thing with sleeping in and for the same reason.
It’s always good to hear that I’m not alone!
I love the bit about cutting into your sit around and do nothing time. It helped chase away some of my Monday blues. Thanks! 🙂
Haha, I’m glad! I figured I’d get more comments on that one. I do love my free time.
I loved loved loved your Friday! I laughed and laughed. 🙂 sounds like me when I’m trying to budget and I write everything I spend down lol.
Oh, boy, speaking of budgets, I’m working on that too. I have to sit down tomorrow and do my January budget for this financial management class I’m taking. Every penny has to have a purpose.
And then I have to stick to it. I guess you guys will be hearing about that before too long. 🙂
is it just my computer or is it snowing in your blog? I too love to sleep. Weekends I sleep in and have my sit around do nothing time! LOL..nothing cuts into my sit around time..
It’s snow!! Yay for fake computer snow – so much easier to drive in than the regular kind.
Way to guard your sit-around time! I have to admit that I follow your plan on my days off, too.
